Our grandmother Anna coming from the Samaria Gorge to marry Sfakia brought with her all the secrets of cooking that she later passed to her daughters and her bride. In turn, these secrets passed to our children.
Our Oven is a pure Greek and family business. Our love of cooking and the experience of our ancestors in this field has prompted us to share with all Greek beautiful and nutritious creations. Considering that genuine flavors have been lost, our vision has been to create quality, delicious and healthy products. Starting from our small bakery in Sfakia, and seeing the growing demand for our products, we decided to start our “journey” to the rest of Greece, always maintaining our tradition and our “family” character.
Region of Origin
Sfakia is a historical area of southern Crete, which is today within the prefecture of Chania. It has been one of the most insubordinate regions of Greece and is often likened to Mani and Souli. It is a particularly inaccessible and rugged area surrounded by the rugged slopes of the White Mountains and the numerous canyons formed in them while south of the Lybian Sea.
