The variety of wheat “Lemnos” is one of the oldest varieties, known for its quality characteristics with references to almost all educational and scientific books and has even been mentioned by Aristotle.
Nevertheless, in recent decades, its cultivation has stopped universally in the fields of the island.
In 2012 Christos Salamoussas procured a small amount of seed from the Cereals Institute in order to revive it and now we are able to grow the wheat “Lemnos”.
The product includes all its semolina while it is completely absent preservatives, improvers and other additives.
It is excellent for kneading homemade bread, pasta, for pies, pizza dough but also for frying. It brings all the characteristics of the historical variety to your table!
