The Chutney or Chatni or catni, as it is called in the Indian language from where it comes from, is a sweet-sour sauce with a texture of jam and means “heavily seasoned”.
Europe was brought to Europe in the 17th century and is now widely spread throughout the continent.
It is made with exotic fruits such as mango, but we often find it with apples, onions, garlic, tomatoes and natural sugar, vinegar and spices.
In our version we combined the exotic chutneys with the mushroom and created two distinct sweet and flavored sauces.
